Carpenter School Excels

We’ve just had good news from Carpenter’s Junior High School: every one of this year’s graduating students has qualified for Secondary School.

This is a great accomplishment, and the Carpenter school is the only one in the district that has been able to achieve it this year. It is a special school because it was funded and built by many of you. We thought you’d like to know just how effective your donations and hard work have been in changing education for young people in Carpenter. Thank you!

David and Brenda Mensah’s 2012 Schedule

David & Brenda MensahThe Mensahs will be in North America in 2012. We have just published their speaking schedule in our May newsletter; however, their schedule is still being updated. For the latest details of where they’ll be, please check the schedule published online.

Note: The schedule in the newsletter mistakenly indicated that they will be at Talbot Creek Community Church on July 2. The correct date is Sunday, July 1.

 

2013 Medical Team

We continue to be grateful for the partnership of the Ghana Health Team. Each year for the past five years, Canadian health professionals have volunteered their time to provide health care to some of the poorest people in Northern Ghana.

This team has typically worked alongside of NEA in Ghana in the month of November. However, the planned election in Ghana in late 2012 could complicate their work for them, and so we have moved the date of the next team to April 2013.

For those interested in participating in this team, applications will be posted online in April 2012.
