What is eligible for a charitable donation receipt?
We issue charitable receipts for donations of $25 per year and greater. We do not issue receipts for gifts in kind except in rare circumstances. Please contact us to discuss a gift-in-kind donation.
When will I get my donation receipt?
GRID mails donation receipts each February for the year prior.
How much of my donation goes towards administration?
Our organization is run almost entirely by volunteers and plans to continue doing so. This keeps our administration expenses very low: typically 8% or less of our donations are spent on administration.
Can I designate my donation towards a specific aspect of GRID-NEA’s work?
Yes. Simply select the appropriate fund on the donation form. General fund donations are used where needed most.
I made a mistake with my donation. Can I get a refund?
Charitable law prohibits any charity from returning donations; all donations are non-returnable. You may, however, request us to direct your donation to a different GRID project. If you wish to redirect your donation to another project, please contact us within 48 hours of making your donation.
