Ghana, here we come!

2015/11/06 By Dr. Jennifer Wilson

2015 Health Team Members at Pearson

This mission is off to the best start! Due to an incredible team effort, 36 team members and 138 hockey bags were seamlessly processed by KLM in under an hour! We are pumped!

Our pharmacy team used our extra time at the airport to go over final details.

    Hi Sue,

As far as we have heard, the entire team has all arrived safely in Carpenter (and I can’t imagine they would go anywhere without Magdi!). Connectivity is really terrible right now, which is why you probably haven’t heard directly. We’ll send a special message to him that you are eager to know that he is well; it will probably take 24 hours to hear back.

Wishing all Ghana Health 2015 Team members – especially my sweetheart Eni – a safe flight to Amsterdam & Accra and a successful mission in Northern Ghana. Today at Pearson today I was deeply inspired by their enthusiasms, energy and bright smiles.

    Enjoy the journey everybody!

SO exciting to see this year’s team and so many familiar faces of friends, colleagues and even my own pharmacist Eni, who I’ve talked about this mission with for the past 8 years!

I can’t believe how fast KML processed the baggage after the delays we experiences with BA last trip. That is wonderful!

Praying for you all as you start the first leg of this journey. I know God will bless the work of your hands as you serve the poor and give of your time, skills and your energy to serve our Ghanaian friends. Looking forward to all the updates in the days ahead. I wish I was with you, but my first little grandson has just arrived and is still in the NICU so it is good I’m here for support.
