The team finished two very busy days in Yaara. They saw an incredible number of people in all of the stations; patients came from far and wide, some even came by canoe.
On Thursday night a party was thrown in the team’s honour. Local women patiently taught their ceremonial dance to the Canadian women.
They saw baby Joshua from last year and he was running around completely healthy which was an emotional time for the people that saw him so sick last year.
The bloggers are too tired for an official update tonight. More details to follow soon.

Thanks for the idea, Bruce. We would love to be able to post pictures with our stories, but right now we actually don’t have internet access in Carpenter. Our medical team is updating us as they can via text and it would be prohibitively expensive to send images that way.
We will be sending out our newsletter within a few weeks of the team’s return (by early December), and there should be lots of images included in that.

Can you send pictures with you blog? I will be going Ghana with the church construction team from Westney Heights in May and would like to show folks at work where I am going. Pictures would be helpful.

Home from Yaara – Praise the Lord! What an awesome blessing to the village. On your Fri departure date I drove to Uxbridge to see you off…got there in time to see Pastor Dale pulling out of the parking lot. My heart continues to bubble over for you all. Special hugs to my pharmacy buddies. To David, Brenda, and your faithful NEA team, your faces are like warm shining lights in my soul. Love you all, Ardith <
