Matching Grant for the Ghana Health Team

2014/06/23 By GRID

We are thrilled to announce that the Jericho and Makbraneth Foundations have partnered to offer a matching grant to the 2014 Ghana Health Team. All donations to the team’s general expenses will be matched 1:1, up to a maximum grant of $50,000.

Under the leadership of Dr. Jennifer Wilson, 60 health care professionals from Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom will travel to Carpenter in November 2014. There, in partnership with NEA, they will offer clinics to some of the poorest people in Northern Ghana.

Donations to the team’s general expenses enable us to purchase medicine, equipment, supplies, and other support needed for our volunteers to provide excellent health care to over 9,000 patients. It costs just over $10 per patient seen at the clinic, or about $95,000 for the 10 clinic days. You can donate online, and thanks to the matching grant, your donation will effectively be doubled. Thank you for enabling us to offer healing and hope to so many in Northern Ghana.
