Canadian supporters can donate online to GRID through CanadaHelps’ secure nonprofit donation service. When you elect to donate online, you will be directed to GRID’s donation page (hosted by CanadaHelps) where you can provide your preferred payment method. You will immediately receive your tax receipt by email.

Donation FAQs

How much of my donation goes towards administration?
Our organization is run almost entirely by volunteers and plans to continue doing so. This keeps our administration expenses very low: typically 8% or less of our donations are spent on administration.

Can I designate my donation towards a specific aspect of GRID-NEA’s work?
For the time being, we can only consider designated gifts under special circumstances. One way that we been able to keep our administrative costs so low is by maintaining very simple but effective systems that our volunteers can oversee. Responsibly tracking and accounting for specially designated gifts would require us to implement more complex, and therefore more expensive, systems.

I know that GRID receives 3:1 matching funds from CIDA. How can I make sure that my donation is matched?
Undesignated Canadian donations are automatically used towards projects that receive matching funds.

How do I know that my personal information is safe when I donate to GRID?
